Pause saving while game is paused.
Save only when game is progressing.
Consideration:
SDD lifespan can be extended by not saving unnecessarily. If I pause the game for 10 minutes to do a thing for the wife, I'd rather not have it saving regularly as there has been no change to the game state. Save files should only be generated when the game is not paused.
