| 780 | 😠 | Suggestion | I don't claim to be good but I am certainly not new to logic or AI behaviour but I can't get on with this at all. I feel like all the pieces are probably there (somewhere?) to build a solution to the problems presented in the game but that they are all implimented in a very specific way because I am supposed to be doing things in a specific way. Also what I can do, if I could actually get it to work, is completely broken. I made a script which switches out research uplinks for turrets when the enemy is in range, this is game breakingly powerful; because I can do it, the game has to be balanced as though I am going to do it and then I have to do it and I don't want to do that because that just washes all the flavour out of everything, why make anything dedicated to a task when superior intelligence defeats all comers? The annoying thing about the script I made is that it doesnt work properly because while triggering the weapon switch is simple enough changing it back is not so easy because I can't say NOT this and there is no default path out of the blocks for no enemy detected. As I say, I'm sure there is a way of doing this but I am too stupid to know what it is. | 2023-08-20 03:56:25 |
